Co-founder of Branswer, Kayla Herbert, has stepped down from her position as Managing Director. Replacing her is Technology Director, Tom Dean Knight, with over 20 years of marketing and software development experience.
Kayla started the company with Tom in 2017, since then the startup has launched the world’s first smart content writing platform. In 2019, it was named a semi-finalist in the Tech Nation Rising Stars competition. Kayla was nominated for many prestigious awards herself, including Innovation Entrepreneur of the Year from the Great British Entrepreneur Awards and MadTech Founder of the Year from the UK Tech Founders Awards. The Leeds-based startup has also been listed in the 51 Tech for Good Stars and Top 50 Tech Companies in Yorkshire and Humber.
Co-founder, Kayla Herbert, said: “I’m so proud of all the achievements Branswer has made since it was first formed. It’s been an amazing journey to watch this idea form into something practical and useful for its customers. I look forward to watching it continue to flourish under Tom’s leadership.”
Kayla’s decision to step down comes from her recent success as a young adult author. Her debut novel, The Book of Moons, was published by Fisher King Publishing in June 2020 and has received much praise from readers and the press. She looks forward to continuing to work on her creative projects and delighting her readers with unique and character-driven stories.
