I have a Digital Marketing Agency and now I’m setting up a new mentoring business for women
How did you get into marketing/communications?
When my son was born I was feeling guilt working long hours for Keith Prowse Events and I wasn’t happy doing events and admin, therefore I decided to set up my own business and learn about digital marketing.
What are you most proud of in your career as a marketing/communications professional?
Being invited twice to be a commentator at BBC, speak in the business event in Orlando(USA) for 400 women, and be able to buy my house with my business.
How has marketing/communications helped the organisations you’ve worked for?
Communications is everything for every business if you communicate well your benefits and you always have clients. Also how you will communicate with your team and clients can make a huge impact on the business.
What challenges have you overcome on your professional journey to where you are today?
The biggest challenges were juggling motherhood and business, as well as trying to find the first clients.
Do you have any words of wisdom for someone starting out in the marketing/communications industry?
Try to remain positive, keep see opportunities even when feels there is around. Persistence and hard work pays off.
Also over delivery always help.
