How did you get into marketing/communications?
Prior to 2014, I only knew how to use tools like Ahrefs, SEMRush and the like but had a computer since I was eight years old. I used to build, break and repair my own computers since having a computer was a hot thing. I first started in marketing when I found out that my Father had a Master’s degree in Marketing so I had an inspiration in my own house.
What are you most proud of in your career as a marketing/communications professional?
Right after I got graduated from my school, I was contacted by 2 of the most renowned companies here in Pakistan and after that in just a short span of time, I was featured in top domain websites like WorldNomads and Get.tech for my marketing expert quotes. Now I am having more than 0.5 million views on Quora and got awarded for Most Viewed Writer in Travel ( because I work under traveling cluster).
How has marketing/communications helped the organisations you’ve worked for?
I am working under a persona where I influence frequent travellers and vacationers to use a VPN while accessing public WiFi. I made landing pages for a website and helped many travellers to be secure using a Public WiFi. It helped my company in getting sales and brand impressions in the Last quarter of 2019. Also, I was given 15 keywords to rank in the google search engine, all of my 15 keywords are ranking in the top 5 google results.
What challenges have you overcome on your professional journey to where you are today?
As working under a brand new persona, I was facing challenges to generate traffic from my persona to my company in the beginning. But consistency is the key, I did not give up and implemented new ways and landed new pages and made them rank on Google Results. Now, I get a regular number of almost 10k unique views in my persona every day.
