How did you get into marketing/communications?
I entered the Marketing field by starting out in school with Graphic Design, but taking a further interest in Business Operations and Organizational Leadership.
What are you most proud of in your career as a marketing/communications professional?
I am most proud of my ability to act essentially as a Marketing consultant to drive initiatives that help businesses grow.
How has marketing/communications helped the organisations you’ve worked for?
Marketing has helped employees engage better with each other, provide better client service, and also grown the revenue of the company.
What challenges have you overcome on your professional journey to where you are today?
The biggest challenge has been in explaining to organizational leaders the benefits of Marketing in order to allocate more budget to Marketing spend.
Do you have any words of wisdom for someone starting out in the marketing/communications industry?
My prime advice is to never stop seeking educational resources and to remain up to date on marketing trends and technology.
